Pastor Matthew Lower
Rev. Matthew R. Lower was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana into a strong Christian and military family. From a young age, Matthew has longed to serve in the military. After high school in 2013, Matthew pursued attending the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), to begin his JAG career. However, during the summer of 2013, he felt God’s call upon his life to become a pastor and military chaplain at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Life Youth Conference in St. Louis, MO.
Due to his faith conviction and call upon his life, Matthew decided to forgo his scholarship with the USCGA and attended Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN to prepare for ministry. After graduating from Crown with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Leadership in 2017, Matthew furthered his education at Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, SC. While attending CBS, Matthew was ordained by the C&MA in April of 2019 and was commissioned into the Army as a Chaplain Candidate in May 2019. Matthew married his wife Christy in October 2021. He was hired as the new pastor of Crosswinds Alliance Church on March 1st, 2021.
His heart is to see every man woman and child in Butler, PA and the surrounding area come to know Jesus Christ personally as their Lord and Savior. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys a good cup of coffee, and loves meeting new people.
